Guwahati: Sarania and Surrounding Areas to Face Water Crisis From Today, Know The Areas

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Tuesday issued a notification stating that there will be a disruption in water supply starting today.

It is for general information to water supply consumers of Guwahati Municipal Corporation under Sarania Reservoir that due to major leakage of 450mm dia pumping main at Paltanbazar due to construction of foot over the bridge by PWD, water supply to the following areas will be disrupted from 22.03.2022 to 25.03.202.

The repairing work will be started on 22.03.2022 at night time and expected to be completed on 25.03.2022 and the water supply may be resumed on 26.03.2022.

Areas to be affected:

() Lachit Nagar, (i) GS. Road, (ii) Ulubari, (v) Pub-Sarania, (v) Gandhibasti area, (vi) Gandhi Mandap, (vii) Islampur, (vii) B. Baruah Road, (ix) Manipuribasti, (x)Rehabari (part), (xi) B.K. Kakati Road, (xii) Paltanbazar area.

The consumers are requested to bear with Guwahati Municipal Corporation for this unavoidable inconvenience.
